The JB Four-Ball Classic
Entry Fee: $110 per player ($220 per team) Registration of both team members is required to be officially entered into the field. Entry of one team member does NOT lock in a spot in the field. Max Field: 40 Teams
The JB Four-Ball Classic is a true golf classic. Current and Former NCJT players are eligible to make up a team. It's a scratch event with no handicaps. Only one player on the two-man Four-Ball team needs to be an NCJT player, the other player can be anyone at any age. We are hoping to build a reunion style golf classic that will mingle players from the past with players of today. This will create a great spirit of golf that will cultivate year after year.
This event is named in memory of the late Mr. Jim Brown (founder and owner of the Classic Auto Group). Jim Brown (JB) has been a long time supporter of Greater Cleveland golf and the North Coast Junior Tour. Many in our community have benefited from contributes made by the Brown Family and we are pleased to honor JB with an event that will bring together young and old. The annual winners will be added to the JB Four-Ball Classic trophy, making it a prestigious award.
Team Make-up examples: Former NCJT player Jason Dufner could partner with Jordan Spieth. Or former NCJT player,and PGA Professional at Sand Ridge, Matt Creech could play with someone from his NCJT era. Or Danny Milo could partner with Antonio Bodziony (two current NCJT members). There are lots of ways to make-up your Four-Ball team, so get started today.
A Four-Ball Stroke Play competition can be found in the USGA Rules of Golf book under Rule 31. The team score is the better ball of a two-player team for each hole (scratch). The entry fee is for each player and includes golf, cart, practice balls, lunch and the awards cookout after golf (cash bar). Each player will register individually and provide there "Playing Partners" name upon checkout. After registration closes the partners will be listed together and we'll enjoy live scoring during the event.
